Spring Concert

Nolan got picture happy during the concert.... the picture below makes me laugh because the program seemed to last a Llllooonnggg time....the older kids had quite a few songs to sing!

Eryn had a special part playing the bells.

On the way to the concert....yep that's another battle wound on Nolan's cheek. Seems he ran into the apple tree at daycare!

As usual, Nolan was taking his pics during the concert:

6 months old!

I cannot believe that Derek is already 6 months old! He is so fun! He's rolling (although he prefers not to) and sitting up! He has a tremendous appetite! He is also working on cutting teeth. He still doesn't sleep through the night, but who could when you are in the pain of getting teeth? I will post pictures later this week. He wasn't in the mood tonight to cooperate for a picture!

Busy week this week with Eryn's Spring concert at school as well as a dance recital on Friday night. She also meets with her Luther Pals on Saturday one last time before they graduate!

I signed up for the 5K in Calmar on Saturday too... a little nervous being the first race post baby. We'll see how it goes!

Randy has officially started fieldwork tonight, so things get just a bit more hectic at night! Oh well, it's only for a few weeks!

Easter Sunday

The kids with their baskets

Nolan holding Gene

Eryn holding Ella...she's SO happy to have another girl in the fam!

And look at this big boy! He has really learned in the past few days to sit on his own. Such a big boy already! He can already do sit ups too:)

I'm such a proud auntie!!! Love these babies to pieces!

This picture speaks for itself...love these kids SO much!

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday! The day began with Derek and I rising before 6 am. It wasn't long before Nolan and Eryn also woke up and were way excited to see that the Easter Bunny had made a stop, as well as hid eggs all over the house! After a quick breakfast of fruit and homemade cinnamon rolls (which didn't turn out half bad!) we all headed to church. After church, it was off to see my family and for the kids to meet their new cousins! Then we had a great Easter dinner and way too much food! We then headed to the Sabelka's before landing back home late this afternoon. I think we all need to detox off the sugar before the week starts again! Happy Easter to all!

Long Time no post!

It's been a while.... computer issues and life in general has gotten in the way of me posting on a regular basis. Since the last time I posted I became an aunt again! My brother and his wife welcomed a boy and a girl into the world on April 19th. Gene Louis and Ella Margaret. Both are healthy and precious as can be! With the weather this week and work, I wasn't able to get to the hospital but yesterday stopped in for a quick visit!

Today we've been busy cooking and baking for the new family of four and Easter tomorrow. I am even trying my hand at homemade cinnamon rolls! The kids colored their Easter eggs today as well, which is always a fun time! I will post pics later, I need to charge the camera:)

Five Months!

This little guy is five months old already!! He's such a blessing, and we couldnt imagine our lives without him! He's so happy and smiling most of the time! We feel like he's been working on getting teeth for weeks and still nothing, He loves his cereal too!

Today we were lucky to see both sets of grandparents! To the Carolan's we went this morning, and Randy helped Dad load cattle. We had a great lunch, and the kids got a chance to play outside in the warm weather. We headed home for a quick nap (and to see my fav driver Kevin Harvick win again this week in NASCAR) and then we were off to the Sabelka's. The kids got to swing and play ball, and we again had a great supper! Now to get ready for another busy week. These weekends go by way too fast! We are all looking forward to the warmer weather months!
