9 month checkup

Derek had his 9 month check up this week, weighing in at 20 lb 15 oz! What a growing boy! He's still in the 50% for his age!

Arm Update

Eryn had her follow up appointment this morning, along with xrays. Good news! The arm is healing well, so well that she may get the splint off in 2 weeks:) She can also ditch the sling next week (except for at school). YEAH!!!

We celebrated with a trip to Dunning Springs and the Fish Hatchery. What an awesome day!!

Our Little Ham

Standing, even taking a few steps at a time, depending on how "daring" he wants to be!

Check out this little guy! 9 1/2 months old already! He loves to try and keep up with his siblings, thank goodness for baby gates to keep him safe! He is getting faster with his walker and taking more and more steps on his own. It won't be long until he's running around with the other two kids!

Family Fun Day

On Monday, we took a family trip; before Eryn broke her arm we were supposed to go to the waterpark, so Plan B was Coralville to the Children's Museum. It was so much fun! Lots of interactive things for the older kids to do. We also did some school shopping, as Eryn starts school next Wednesday already! Where did the summer go?

Pike's Peak Trip

Last Sunday we went for a little drive to Pike's Peak. It was a beautiful afternoon and beautiful scenery!

The Sabelka Curse

Well, we knew it was bound to happen sometime, I was just wrong on which kid! On Thursday last week, Eryn broke her arm. She was on the swing and fell off...just as she has many times before. I knew this time was different when she came running to me, her left arm obviously broken. Eryn remained quite calm through it all, more so than me! We took her to the ER and xrays confirmed that the left forearm was broken (both arms). Instead of setting it that night, they sent us home, to come back early in the morning to get it set. We arrived back at 6am Friday and the procedure went excellent! We are so blessed! Eryn is adjusting well and making adaptations as needed. We go back for a check up this Thursday and another xray to see if it is healing correctly.

The Circus!

The Circus came to Cresco on August 2, and we were invited to attend. Nolan's favorite was the lions, while Eryn enjoyed the dogs the most.
