A New Look

In the past couple of weeks, Eryn is looking different! She lost both front teeth and got her hair cut, in preparation for entering the first grade in 3 weeks! It's hard to believe school will be starting again three weeks from today!

Happy Birthday Lexie!!

Today we celebrated my niece's 4th Birthday. Before heading to the party we made a stop at Target and started on the school supply list. It's crazy to think that school is only a month away!! We got most of the things that we needed so it was a good trip. That and a quick stop at Menard's for more lumber and we were on our way to the party. Since it was again SO HOT the kids had a blast in the back yard on the slip and slide.

HOT July Days!

Yesterday was a scorcher! The guys were real troopers working on framing the walls for the garage! They had to take many breaks from the heat, so they ended up working into the evening. It's great that we have such good help from family, friends and even neighbors (thanks Snoots!!)

The kids and I took a break from the heat in the afternoon and headed to the pool. It was wonderful!! Eryn is really becoming a good swimmer!

When we got back home I ended up helping the guys on the garage for a little while, then make supper of grilled steak and baked potatoes.

Another visit from the Tooth Fairy...

Eryn finally lost one of her front teeth! It's been loose most of the summer, and she was not ready to give it up! I offered to pull it many times, but she declined. She actually ended up pulling it out herself:)


Nolan has been busy "helping" his dad and grandpa on the garage. He loves to be outside in the dirt... a true boy!

First 5K of the year!

Today I ran my first 5K of the year... thought it would be much more difficult but I took 3 minutes off my time from a year ago!! My sis and I both finished first in our age groups! Makes me feel young again! After Nolan ran in the kiddie race we all went to the Amish for some yummy baked goods!

Happy 4th!!!!

Despite the rainy weather, it was a great 4th! The cement for the garage was poured on Friday afternoon, and the kids got to see fireworks on Friday and Sunday night! We even took in the Festina parade between rain showers yesterday! Due to the rain our annual 4th of July party was moved to another location (thanks to some great neighbors!!)

Today is a day to catch up on sleep, and I start another class today, so I need to hit the books. Hopefully the rain goes away soon!!

Last Day of Swimming Lessons...

Swimming lessons wrapped up today, and as I have said before they are well worth the money! Eryn successfully passed her first class, and Nolan was close (still needs to work on the back float). We are so proud of both of them:)

Randy has been busy getting ready for the cement floor to be poured for the garage tomorrow. The weather this week has been great (no rain!) so it should go smoothly!

Looking forward to a long holiday weekend with friends and family!!
