Happy 7th Birthday Eryn!!

I realize I am a little late with this post, but it has been quite the week! We began the week celebrating Eryn's birthday with her family last Sunday, always a fun time!

On Wednesday was Eryn's actual birthday. Wednesdays now are particularly busy with religion class and church, but we managed to sneak in a little singing, candles, and of course cake and ice cream! Eryn was so excited to get a new bike! She has been growing so tall she has outgrown her other bike, so both kids are very anxious to get out and ride! If only the weather would cooperate!

I made Eryn her birthday supper on Tuesday so we could all take time to celebrate. Her request: steak, mashed potatoes, fresh bread and peas! I wish all the kids birthdays would fall on the weekend, so there was more time to celebrate!

On Friday Eryn had a few friends over to celebrate some more! We were off to the Cresco Fitness Center for some swimming and pizza. The kids all got along great and had a fun time! Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Sabelka for watching Derek for us!

I thought all our kids would sleep well last night, but I was once again reminded that I am not in control of that! Eryn was up a good part of the night with ear pain; we are guessing she had water trapped in her ear from swimming. Derek is just off schedule with his cold (and I think he is also beginning to teethe). So, here's to hoping for a nap this afternoon!

All 3 kids have been battling colds this week, even little Derek. He's so congested but continues to smile through it all! Melts my heart:) Now, if Spring would just arrive...

Happy Birthday Eryn!

Eryn turns 7 on Wednesday... yes 7! Today we started what will be a week of celebrating with her family birthday party. Lots of food, fun and presents! Eryn got clothes, shoes, wii games, toys, books, etc... what more could a girl ask for!!?? She had a good time playing with all of her cousins!

FYI Nolan was once again practicing his photography skills;)

A Day With my Boys+ Great family!

I spent today at home... I guess you could say I was celebrating my birthday. We get our birthday off from work, so for me it was a win win situation! I got to spend the day with two of my favorite boys. We didn't do much (as you can see) but we had a great time! We went to SW and had lunch with Eryn (she gets her day with mom on Friday!) and did some cleaning. Nolan had a good time practicing his photography, and Derek was spoiled by me holding and snuggling with him all day!! Doesn't get much better than this!

Derek has a new favorite toy... the learning puppy. He has even tried to wrestle it!

The weather was so nice we even went outside for a quick walk tonight. So nice to get some fresh air! I can't wait to start running outside again!! When we got back in, to our surprise (and Randy's excitement) the Yankees were on! So, Derek had to have his picture taken for his first official Yankee's game!! You know spring is coming when baseball returns!!

Over the weekend I had a chance to catch up with the Sabelka girls (seems like forever since we were all together!). We also took in a movie with my sister, husband and kids. My brother in law even offered to take the two older kids on Saturday night. Thanks Jeremy you rock!! On Sunday we got together to celebrate Keegan's birthday (with, of course, cake). Then, as tradition holds mom made me my very own German chocolate bday cake (YUM!). Sunday night mom and dad Sabelka came over with supper and MORE cake!! It was great!

Golden Birthday Party!!

Tonight we celebrated my sis' Golden Birthday~ oh to be 27 again! What a fun night! Here are some pics:

Baby Shower!!

Today we held a babies shower for my sister in law Lacy who will be having TWINS in a month or so! How exciting!! It was great to see everyone and have good food, games and laughs. Lacy got some great gifts as well. We are anxiously awaiting their arrival (especially Eryn, as she is looking forward to having another girl in the family)!!

Return of Strep Throat

Over the last week Eryn has had huge tonsils. She didn't have a fever so we monitored it all week, with a call into the clinic. On Friday morning, Eryn spiked a temp of 102 so we headed to the dr; of course another episode of strep throat!! It's frustrating since Eryn doesn't quite meet the critera for a tonsillectomy; just means she can keep getting strep for awhile before they will want to do anything! She's in pretty good spirits about it though (but has learned that she prefers the bubble gum antibiotic rather than penicillin:)

As I am writing this, Nolan has now spiked a temp since last night, so we will see what becomes of that. Definitely going to be a pajama day in the Sabelka household!

Four Months Old!

So I've been a little MIA on the blogging. It's been a crazy couple of weeks, and I am so hoping for it to slow down! Friday we took Derek in for a four month check up and shots (ouch!). He is weighing in at 15 lb 5 oz and 24.75 inches tall. Growing, growing!! He's in the 50% for weight and height which we were surprised at but he's a healthy, happy boy! In comparasion to the other kids, I think Nolan was around 14 lb at 4 m onths, and Eryn was at 18 lb by her first birthday!
