On Tuesday Randy celebrated his 35th Birthday...I love having the kids get so excited for birthdays cuz Randy and I sure don't get too excited to celebrate being another year older. It helps us feel young again:) and we get to re-use the kids' birthday candles!!!

St. Lucas Fun Day
Ok, I know I am a litte behind in the times. Seems like since Derek is now mobile I have less time than I did before!! Last Sunday Stacy, Landon and the kids and I headed down to St. Lucas. What a fun time! There were inflatables for the kids, clowns and games... oh and the Moo Mobile, always a favorite!!
Mister Blue Eyes
Check out Mr. Blue Eyes! Hard to believe he will be 8 months old in just 2 days! He is standing on his own now, I don't think he is afraid of anything! Eryn and Nolan think it's so funny that he can stand by himself...in just a matter of time it will be 3 sets of footsteps pitter pattering around this busy household! We love you Derek Jordan!!!!!

Birthday Party+ Baptism
This weekend was a whirlwind of excitement! On Friday night I ran the 5K in Protivin, what a good time!
On Saturday we celebrated Grandma Carolan's birthday with a get together at my parents house. It was a good time had by all!
This morning, we were all up bright and early to celebrate the baptism of Gene and Ella.
Now, as the weekend comes to an end, I am busy packing and getting ready to head out of town for a few days for work. Looking forward to next weekend already!

Summer Projects
It's that tme of year again.... the days are longer, and we stay outside later. As most of you know there is still alot of work to do on the latest Sabelka addition. We have hauled in several loads of dirt and rock since last summer. Randy has been working on leveling out the ground. As of this post we no longer have ANY lawn, and it's all dirt. Scary thought when you have two kids who love to be outside:) Anyway.... next step is to re-seed the entire lawn and do some landscaping. I have been looking forward to this part of the project for a year, and can't wait to see the finished product. Stay tuned for updated pictures!
Groundhog day
Do you ever feel that you keep doing the same things over and over just on a different day? I was totally feeling that way last Friday. I think it was the third time in four weeks that I took the boys to the Dr. This time it was Nolan.... he complained of a sore ear earlier in the week, but I didn't think much of it, and he only talked about it when he got up in the morning. By Thursday morning it was swollen, and more painful. So away to the dr we went, and came back with a diagnosis of outer ear infection. Antibiotic ear drops for a week to 10 days. It's feeling better, although Nolan doesn't like getting the drops put in (he says they are "cold"). Yeah, bring on summer and hopefully less illness:)
Mr. Green
Eryn has, ok, had a new pet. She found a caterpillar on Friday night down at the Inwood. She was quick to want to bring it home and put it in a jar. I remember all too well from when I was young that once you put a bug in a jar, well, it doesn't live for very long. That theory holds true. Randy made a "home" for Mr. Green and Eryn put it in the garage for the night. The next day it was still moving around, but by afternoon, Eryn made the conclusion it had died. I'm sure it will quickly be replaced with another summer creature. By the way, ask Eryn to say "caterpillar", you will get a kick out of it :)

7 months old!!
It's hard to believe, I know, but Derek is already 7 months old!! I say it all the time, but where does the time go??!!
This little guy really started getting around on Monday night. It's so cute to see him crawl (with one leg), and once he gets that other leg figured out, watch out!! Time to re-baby proof the house!
Summer vacation has officially started, and you can see it at the Sabelka house. The two older kids are in swimsuits on a daily occurrence, although we have yet to make a trip to the pool!! SO glad summer is here!!
