First Communion

Today Eryn had a very special day....her First Communion.  She was able to celebrate with all of her close family.  We had a get together for brunch at our house following mass.

Happy Easter!

We have so much to be thankful for!  Great family and friends, our health... I could go on and on!  We had a great time with family this weekend.

Saturday we had Carolan Easter at Grandma's in Decorah.  As always it was good to see everyone!  The kids had a great time with the Easter egg hunt!

On Sunday we started out the day with a visit from the Easter Bunny of course!  Derek had a good time finding the eggs and opening them right up and eating them....wrapper and all!  We headed to church then down to Cedar Falls to spend the day with the Sabelka and Nelson families.  It was a great day!!

Nolan had a note from the Easter Bunny telling him that he would have a special package in the mail this morning, and boy was he excited....a new baseball bat!  This kid LOVES baseball and can't wait to get out and play!

On Saturday morning we headed up to Calmar for the easter egg hunt at the football field.  The kids had a good time running after the eggs!

Thanks to everyone who has taken time out of their busy schedules to help with this on-going project!  It's coming along!!!

17 months old!!

Tomorrow Derek will be 17  months old.  He's such a ham!  He's learning to brush his teeth and LOVES doing it himself!  He has almost all of his baby teeth in (working on eye teeth as we speak, literally!) and loves to climb on anything!  Since the weather has been warm, he especially likes to play outside and in the garage.  His new words this week are "brush teeth" and "boo boo" (baby).
