Dells Part Two

Trip to the Dells

This weekend we took a quick trip to the Dells with my family. We had a BLAST!!! You know its a good trip when you don't think about work, or other things going on in your life, and your kids cry when it's time to leave! We arrived on Friday afternoon; it snowed up until LaCrosse so we had to take our time but it was a good ride up (no motion sickness!). We had some time to check out the hotel and all the bonuses before we headed out to supper at the Moosejaw pizza and brewery. This was some serious carb overload with good pizza and some pretty good mircobrews!!

On Saturday, the older kids went snow tubing while Derek and I got to hang out in our pjs' for the am and catch up on some sleep from Friday night. Neither Derek or I sleep well when we travel so it was nice to have some quiet time! When the gang arrived back from snow tubing, us girls hit the outlet mall for some great bargains!! Then it was time for the indoor water park. This place was awesome! Great slides and different water activities for everyone! Eryn loved the lazy river and Nolan had a blast on the waterslides. As you can see from the pictures, we all had a great time together!

Cereal it is!

My helper Eryn assisted me to get the high chair cleaned up and from the basement. It was time to try it out! Doesn't he look so small in that chair? Believe me this baby is growing like a weed!

Derek has been eating like mad for the past few days. We can hardly keep up with him!! He has yet to sleep through the night, and during my 3am bonding time with him this morning, I did some web searching to see just what our options were. I read many articles about starting cereal and the pros and cons of doing so this early in the game, and we decided to go for it! Derek is just growing by leaps and bounds, and is having a bottle about every three hours, so long story short I was off to Walmart today to get rice cereal!

Suprisingly, he did rather well with taking the cereal. No real sour faces or anything... like he's been doing it for weeks! We will see how this goes... it's 8 pm and he's already asleep!

Go Away Winter + 3 months old!

Mother Nature and I are NOT getting along. I've been stuck twice in the past 24 hours! Thank goodness for good people (and muscles) to help me out! Thanks:)

I sure wish I was somewhere warm right about now!! The forecast isn't looking any better for tomorrow, with winds and more snow! Spring cannot get here fast enough!

Anyways, enough about the weather. Not much going on in the Sabelka household this week, except that Derek is 3 months old!!!! He is definitely going through another growth spurt this week and eating non-stop! We are still working on the sleeping and its getting better with time!
