Happy 8th Birthday Eryn!!

Eryn turned 8 yesterday (March 23rd)...she is getting so big!  I took her to school yesterday and I had to laugh when she was holding my hand walking up to the school.  When we got about 50 yards from the other kids, she all of the sudden let go of my hand.  I guess when you turn 8 it's not cool anymore to hold hands with your mom:)
Eryn celebrated by having her first sleepover.  All in all she had a great time!  There was a lot of food, cake and laughter!  Thanks to Aunt Lacy for coming over to help with painting nails!

                                                  Eryn and her friends
Eryn with her gifts from mom and dad and her brothers
Little miss Ella joined in on the fun too!  She's practicing for her
                                                first birthday next month!!

Basketball!

 Practicing the dribbling....
He shoots, he scores:)

Saturdays in March Nolan has been attending Basketball camp at South Winn.  It's fun to watch him learn and grow.  He had some trouble with dribbling, but practice makes (near) perfect and he is doing much better.  They "scrimmage" at the end and its fun to watch them try and remember all the skills they have been learning!

15 month check up

yep, he's on top of the table.  I tell you you have got to have your eyes on this kid all the time!!  I finally got Derek in for his 15 month checkup and those dreaded shots.  He continues to be consistent with his growth pattern in the 58% and 57% percentiles for height and weight.  (33 inches and 25 lb).  He is such a joy to have around, almost always happy and teasing someone!  He continues to learn new words and phrases (ball, I got it, I want it, bath, I do it, Eryn, Nolan, Papa, etc).  Such a fun age!!

Spring Fever!!

yesterday was so georgous!  We had all the windows open, kids had shorts on....It was great!  I got to get some Spring Cleaning out of the way while Randy continues work on the garage/entry way.  I promised pics but I am waiting until the tile is down, which will be soon!! Yea!!

Eryn and I have been busy planning her birthday party and First Communion.  Fun Fun!

Today we ventured south to good 'ol Menards for (you guessed it) more supplies!  It's good though, shows progress:)

Then, it was off to my nephew Keegan's 8th birthday party.  The adults are starting to be outnumbered by the kids!  It was a great time, and great weather as well!  It will be hard to be at work this week with such warm temps and sunshine!

Have a great week everyone!

Round 'Em Up!

Friday was an exciting day at the Sabelka household....Nolan went to Kindergarten Round up!  What a change of pace for this kid to go to school an extra day!  He had a great time and was SO tired on Friday night!  Today he said he was ready to go again tomorrow :(  I can only hope the next couple of months go quickly for him!

Entry way progress

Randy (with the help of his dad and friend) have been feverishly working on the garage and entryway this weekend (pics to come soon).  While he isn't  keen on painting (and neither am I) he dove into it today with his dad, and got alot done.  The colors...well, they never look the same on the walls as the swatches, but they will work!  Hopefully soon we can get this project wrapped up so we can find our shoes and coats without difficulty!  I have become accustomed to the mess and kinda like not having to clean it up:)

16 months old

Derek turned 16 months on Friday and I think its safe to say that as with the other kids, the "terrible 2's" have started (yes, early)!  This kid is on anything and everything....kitchen chairs, step stools, gates, beds, you name it.  He's got the battle wounds to prove it too.  His vocab is also soaring....favorite line these days is "i got ball" and "good job".  Scared to see what comes next...no, just kidding.  It's so fun to hear him say new words.  One thing is for sure, though....he's stubborn.  Wonder where that came from ;0) Now, if we can just wean him from the pacifier!
